I’ve been an Attorney for the past 20 years. I’ve worked for the court system, the private sector, government agencies, the County of LA and County of Riverside. I began my career in Civil Litigation and then worked in the Criminal Justice System. After working in governmental agencies I then moved into the private sector and have now been in private practice for over 16 years.
I am known in the Courts both with Attorneys and Judges due to my long and extensive career.
I worked in the Courts and with Governmental agencies as a law school clerk. I also worked for Fair Housing where I became a Mediator, and worked for the Juvenile Court System helping Judges with their research. Later, as an Attorney I worked in Civil Rights Litigation Firms as well as Foreign Consulates. Transitioning to the District Attorneys office as a victim advocate and then to the Public Defenders Office and Conflict Panel. Having been offered a judgeship I declined it and remained in private practice where I am able to help people one on one, this, I felt, was where I am able to help each person in the best possible way I personally can.
I’ve had all different types of clients throughout the years; ranging from doctors, engineers, nurses, police officers, truckers, as well as every day workers.
I try to help anyone who needs help, their profession only becomes important when I’m trying to help them keep their licensing and/protect their licensing from being taken away.
I am considerate of each individual client's needs.
I am very proud of volunteering for the Innocence Project which helps wrongly convicted people get their cases reversed due to their innocence.
I am also very proud and thankful for the missionary work I am able to do while still being able to help people going through their legal needs, both I feel, are equally important.
Experience, Experience, Experience, the professional you hire must have experience and be well versed in the laws and the process and must not be afraid to fight for the client regardless of how big or small the case is.
Some questions to ask may be:
1. How long has the professional been experienced in this area of law?
2. Are they familiar with the court process?
3. Do they do trials?
4. The overall cost of the case
5. Lastly, always go with your gut, its going to be important for you to trust your attorney because they should have your best interest in mind.
